A Letter to My Daughter

Sweet girl,

I want to celebrate you.

You are amazing. The most amazing person I know.

You are strong.

You are funny.

You are smart.

So, so unbelievably smart.

You are brave.

You are confident.

You are kind-hearted.

You walk with more swagger than any person I know.

You are beautiful. So beautiful it hurts.

You are kind.

You are fun.

You are stubborn. And I am so grateful that you are.

You are feisty.

You are fierce.

You are sweet.

You are energetic.

You are worthy.

And your joy is infectious.

You are you. The most perfect you that you could ever be.

The world will try to tell you differently. No, not try. They will tell you differently. They'll try to make you believe differently. And it'll happen sooner than I think. But I will be there. We will be there. A sisterhood. Alongside you. Encouraging you. Reminding you that you are brave.

You are strong.

You are confident.

You are funny.

You are beautiful.

You are smart.

You are bold.

You are fierce.

You are tenacious.

You are gentle.

You are kind.

You are deserving.

You are enough.

Today and everyday. I want to celebrate you. Celebrate me. Celebrate our sisters on earth. We are fierce. We are strong. We are deserving. And we are a force to be reckoned with.
