Okay, I know. We live in Austin. Which means it can easily feel like summer well into the month of November. But technically, it's coming to an end...Labor Day kind of reminds us of that. Here's how I'm planning to enjoy the last few weekends of "summer."
Austin has 11 splash pads...all of which are free! Some operate year-round, but most will shut down by the beginning of October. Make sure you check the link to view locations, times, and closing dates. More info.
Fun for the whole family...including your four-legged babies! Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Austin Pets Alive! have paired up for the first ever Doggie Day. More info.
Austin Museum Day
FREE admission to more than 35 museums in the Austin area on September 18 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. More info.
Lone Star Book Festival
The festival is free and open to all ages, but they offer special kids activities starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. More info.
What do you think about this list? Did I miss something? I'd love to hear what you'll be doing to enjoy the last bit of summer in the comments below!
